KAUAI ELOPEMENTS

If you’re into dramatic, sweeping views of canyons, daring hikes, untouched beaches, and waterfalls then you may want to think about eloping in Kauai! This tiny island boasts some of the most beautiful coastlines and is home to “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” Waimea Canyon. It’s an adventurer’s paradise with plenty of trails to explore, yet it also has a laid back side that can’t be beat. There are remote beaches to relax on, delicious food trucks to stop by, and cute little surf towns to wander.

Planning an elopement in Kauai gives you the freedom of so many choices. Digging a red dirt ombre on a white dress? Kauai is famous for its red dirt canyons. Thinking of towering tropical mountains meeting the sea? There are so many beaches to get that view on Kauai. Want an adventurous elopement hiking out to a waterfall? Kauai has that too. You’ll have so much at your fingertips while you are exploring Kauai.

So what are some good reasons to elope in Kauai besides the obvious of gorgeous scenery?

1. Holey Grail Donuts (jk jk… but really, if you don’t swing by for a taro donut I will be disappointed).
2. You have an adventurous side and want to make sure that is part of your elopement day.
3. You love exploring tiny towns and shopping from local artisans over big tourist traps.
4. You are a coffee person. Definitely make Kauai a priority in this case.
5. You like beaches that are harder to get to, but worth the extra mile when you have it mostly to yourself.
6. You are a fan of craft beer (Kauai Beer Co. is a must).
7. A helicopter tour is on your bucket list.
8.
You’re into kombucha (so many awesome spots to grab a glass).
9. You’re down for a boat tour of the Na Pali Coast.
10. You prefer palm trees to be taller than any of the buildings.

Sound like fun?

YOUR KAUAI ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

I truly love specializing as a Kauai elopement photographer, helping to plan and capture adventurous elopements all over the island of Kauai! I create unique elopement days that allow couples to have an absolute blast while soaking up the natural beauty of this island. I document these wild elopements with authenticity and heart.

I live here in the islands with my little family; a corgi pup named Maebel, two parrots Hunter + Finnley, and my husband Brent. We’ve definitely embraced island life, spending our free time hiking, snorkeling, and getting in the ocean any chance we get! I’m a pretty easy going person and have a knack for helping others to feel comfortable. It’s part of what my couples say makes it so effortless to have me there capturing their elopement day.

I’ve always been drawn to Kauai, it’s adventurous spirit calling to my heart! I connect with this island on a deep level and adore sharing it with others, playing tour guide as a part of elopements. I craft honest adventures that are anything but common here on Kauai. Curious?

KAUAI ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

Choosing a Kauai elopement photographer to capture your day is one of the most important decisions that you’ll make. Elopement photographers are more deeply involved than the average wedding photographer because of how intimate elopements are. It’s pretty vital that you connect with them as a person since you will be spending quite a bit of time together planning your elopement and photographing it when the day arrives. They’re also gifted with the venture of turning the moments + memories of your day into priceless photographs that you’ll hold onto for a lifetime.

So what are some things you should consider when searching for a Kauai elopement photographer? Initially, you’ll want to make sure you connect with their work. Does it speak to you? Do you find it beautiful? Are the colors and edits your style? If so, you’ll next want to learn a little about them. Can you picture hanging out with them? Do you like how they’ve talked about Kauai and eloping there? And one other thing to think about is that while you can hire anyone from anywhere, there are some benefits to hiring a local. They are immersed in the environment and more knowledgeable of the islands, they won’t have to come from a distance, and you are supporting the local economy which is really important for a remote island. Last, but definitely not least, make sure you hire someone who has a heart for this work. Bringing someone with a passion for creating incredible elopement experiences along for the adventure will ensure that you have an amazing time with even better pictures to remember it by.
