Intimate Wedding North Shore Oahu | Laie Temple Sealing

Apr 9, 2020 | 6 comments

This pretty day started with a Laie Temple Sealing and ended with yummy dinner + desserts at Pounder’s. And we made a pretty epic stop in between, spending a little time at one of my favorite bays on Oahu’s North Shore. Scroll to see some incredible banyan trees with buttery sunlight streaming down through the branches!

This was the first time I’d been to the Laie Temple for a sealing, actually! Laie Hawaii Temple is an LDS church (Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). It’s located on a small hill, just a half-mile from the shores of the Pacific. Laie is also home to the Brigham Young University–Hawaii and the Polynesian Cultural Center. The temple grounds are absolutely beautiful, with swaying palms and bright aqua fountains. This is an epic spot to have your sealing if you are LDS and would like to visit Hawaii!

Annie + Tevah’s families had gathered just outside the temple, eagerly awaiting their appearance. It was so sweet to see how excited everyone was for the moment they’d come out the doors. The littlest members of the family were definitely ready to celebrate 🙂

It was so special to see how integral faith was to this family as they celebrated Annie + Tevah. I always love experiencing new and different traditions in weddings, so I was absolutely stoked for the opportunity to photograph a Laie Temple Sealing.

After exploring the pretty temple grounds, we drove a little ways to my favorite bay for some fun beneath the banyan trees.

I love the way Annie’s florals from Lulu’s Leis + Bouquets blended beautifully with all of the wild foliage in this spot! As we made our way through this magical little forest, which by the way would make the perfect backdrop for a North Shore intimate wedding ceremony as well, we found the afternoon sun streaming down through the trees in the most stunning way.

You can just see how the light filtered in and made these two glow! Once we’d soaked up the beauty of the banyan trees, we made our way down to the beach to capture the turquoise waters and white sand so iconic to Oahu.

It was such an honor capturing these moments for such a lovely couple from their Laie Temple Sealing to the bay, to dinner after. I am always feeling so lucky to be a part of all of it!
